If you incorporate variety of fresh vegetables in your burger, it can turn out to be a very health meal. Here is the procedure to make bison burgers on the stove.
Ingredients:
- Ground Bison or buffalo meat (Around 1 pound)
- Olive oil (2 tablespoons)
- Onion powder (1 tea spoon)
- Garlic Powder (1 tea spoon)
- Cumin (1 tea spoon)
- Salt and black pepper (to taste)
- Cheddar Cheese Slice (1 per patty)
- Your favorite burger sauce (1 tablespoon)
- Organic buns
- Sliced onion, tomatoes, and capsicum (3 cups)
- Fresh lettuce
Method
Firstly, place a non-stick pan on the top of your stove and pour 2 full tablespoons to cover the entire surface of the pan. Keep the pan on medium-heat for getting heated.
Secondly, take the ground bison meat which is marinated using preferred herbs, spices such as onion powder, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Divide the ground meat into 3 portions and make patties out of them by forming balls and gently pressing them to give them a disc-like shape.
Third. Test whether the skillet is sufficiently heated by pouring one or two drops of water on it. If you can see the popping of the oil and hear the sizzling noise, it means the pan is ready to receive the patties.
Fourth. Gently place the patties on the heated skillet and let it cook for 2 minutes. Turn the burger patty upside down to test whether it has turned brown from one side. Then flip it again for one more minute until it gets crispy from one side. Do the same for the other side. For a medium-sized burger patty, it takes around 8 minutes to cook.
Fifth. If you are a cheese-lover ten add a slice of cheddar cheese upon the burger patty and cover the pan with a lid for few seconds until the cheese melts reasonably.
Six. Take the burger patty along with the cheese out from the pan and place it on the plate nearby. This allows all the juices to collect on the plate instead of making the bun soggy.
Seventh. Evenly apply your favorite sauces on the bottom toasted bun, and then place the burger patty on it. This will prevent the sauces from dripping. Then decorate your burger by adding the vegetables as a topping. Cover the burger by placing the bun and insert a thin bamboo stick from the top to keep everything in place.
You can customize the burger according to your preferences. Additionally, you can add mushrooms and other vegetables to enhance the flavoring and nutritional value of the burger. You can also put Dijon mustard to give it a taste.
